    Last week, Google media posted an update. Today, I'd like to talk about Google's manual quality assessment guide. As the guide is long and 164 pages long, it is divided into three posts:

Even if it is divided into three posts, it's just a brief introduction and some reflections. Most of the contents in the guide are ignored. Some readers suggested that I translate the guide into Chinese or not, because:

The guide is too long


Most of the content has little to do with SEO


No authorization


The guide is for the training of Google's human assessors. There is no need to mention a lot of content that SEO is familiar with, such as how to distinguish the page theme content, auxiliary content, advertising and so on. The biggest part is to let evaluators understand that how to judge whether search results meet the needs of users' queries has little to do with SEO.




What is the content of Google quality rating guide?


The guide is divided into three parts:




Page quality rating Guide - this is what SEO really cares about, including understanding the purpose of page creation and existence, evaluating the quality of page content, website and creator background survey, reputation survey.


Understand the needs of mobile users - only by understanding the needs of users can we judge whether the search results meet the needs. This part is to prepare for the third part.


Satisfaction score – how the evaluator judges the extent to which the search results meet the user's needs and what score should be given for a query term


The last two parts account for more than 100 pages. Although they don't help SEO directly, in order to fully understand Google's quality scoring guide, I will introduce them in the first post.
